At Dallas Furniture Bank, we know how daunting this task can be: asking everyone you know, combing through online used furniture, driving around to thrift stores, figuring out how to get it all and when, unsure if what you're getting is clean and in good condition, trying to cobble everything together. It takes up time and energy and usually ends up costing more than you have budgeted.

How It Works

• Your 501(c)(3) agency becomes a Dallas Furniture Bank partner.
• You place an order for a furniture package or schedule a shopping experience with your client.
• DFB contacts you/your client to schedule shopping dates and/or delivery dates.
• If you've ordered a package, DFB selects items in your order.
• If you've scheduled a shopping experience with your client, your client visits DFB at the scheduled date/time and chooses the furniture they want.
• DFB delivers the furniture, or your agency comes to pick it up, or your client comes to pick it up.

About Our Furniture

• Most of our furniture is gently-used.
• Some of our furniture is brand-spanking new!
• ALL of our mattress sets and bedding are brand new. Dallas Furniture Bank does NOT distribute used mattresses, box springs, pillows, or bedding.
• All of our used furniture has been cleaned, sanitized, checked for pests, and repaired if needed.
• Most of our new furniture has been assembled. The exception is bunk beds. We just do not have room in the trucks for fully assembled bunk beds. We do not unpack or assemble bunk beds.
• We offer furniture that will work in your client's space.
• Dallas Furniture Bank does not distribute furniture that we would not accept into our own homes. This is good stuff!
• We have a wide selection of furniture styles. Your clients will be excited to choose pieces they like, things that match their personal aesthetic.

Costs

• There is a yearly membership fee for partner agencies based on your yearly budget.
• There are nominal costs for each furniture piece, significantly lower than thrift stores or online resale.
• There is a small delivery charge, dependent upon how far away the furniture is going. (There is also a limit to how far away we can deliver.)
• Your agency decides if you will pay the costs for the furniture and/or delivery, or if those costs will be paid by the client. That's up to you.
• These charges keep DFB in business, pay for the warehouse where all the furniture is stored, the trucks for deliveries, the guys to move the furniture, etc.
